Horse Wisdom 7-week Group Program (90-minute sessions) $750

NDIS Self & Plan managed packages accepted.  Please ensure funding is available under the 'Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living - Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training - Other Therapy' line item.

Special programs and events run throughout the year - fees vary and are advertised accordingly.

We understand that there may be times when it is necessary to cancel, however in the event of a non-attendance or cancellation without a minimum of 24 hours' notice being provided in writing or via phone call, 100% of the full fee is charged.

Please contact us for further information.

No horse experience is required as clients are given a full safety briefing prior to engaging with the horses.

No horse riding is involved as the focus is psychological intervention and wellbeing support.  Occasionally, a mounted experience may form part of the intervention, but this is not riding.  For those wanting a riding experience or looking for hippotherapy we recommend contacting your nearest Riding for the Disabled Centre or an accredited horse riding coach.

What do I need to wear & bring?

Sessions take place outside so we ask that clients dress appropriately for the weather; hat and sun cream when sunny, boots, rain coat, warm clothing in winter.  Serenity Holistic Wellness is set in natural bushland, some areas are sandy and hilly, others flat but we ask that clients wear enclosed footwear to protect their feet when walking around.

We can provide water and some programs and activities will include refreshments (this will be advised within relevant advertising of such groups) but we encourage clients to bring their own water, especially on warmer days.

Training of Foals

What about parents & carers?

Where suitable, parents and carers may be offered opportunities to either engage in session, or learn about the process in a way that enables them to best support their young person. Feedback and advice, may (where appropriate) be provided after sessions to enable ongoing support of the young person.
